What this site stores on your device, why, and how to say no. It is a short list on purpose.

This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no ad network scripts, and does not track you across other websites. There is nothing here being sold to anybody.
What is strictly necessary
A small number of things have to be stored for the site to work at all, such as remembering a cookie choice once you have made one. These do not need your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because the site cannot function without them.
Analytics
We want to know which pages people actually read, so we can write more of what is useful. Under PECR, analytics is not strictly necessary, which means it needs your consent before it runs rather than after.

The analytics decision, and it is a real choice rather than a formality. A cookieless, privacy-first tool needs no banner and can be described here in 2 sentences. Anything that sets a cookie or fingerprints a device needs a consent mechanism that genuinely blocks the script until someone agrees. Pick one, then this section and the banner get written together.
Embedded content
Some pages will embed a booking tool, and an embed can set its own cookies which we do not control. Where that happens we will name the provider here and link to their own notice, so you can see what they store rather than taking our word for it.

The booking tool, once confirmed. It is unconfirmed in docs/03-CONTENT-SOURCE-OF-TRUTH.md section 2 and it blocks the contact page CTA as well as this section. Most booking embeds set at least one cookie, which decides whether the consent banner is needed even if analytics turns out to be cookieless.
How to refuse or remove cookies
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under privacy or site settings. Doing that for this site will not break anything you came here to read.
If we add anything that needs consent, you will be asked before it runs, and you will be able to change your answer afterwards from this page.
